I've been reading this book, which I decided to do after watching the movie. I am amazed at the detail written. I feel the cold described, then again it is winter ;) . It's been really great to read the book and compare it with the movie. For those of you who have only seen the movie White Fang, you must read this!
Much of the novel is written from the view-point of animals, enabling London to explore how animals view their world and how they view humans. White Fang examines (sometimes graphically) the violent world of wild animals and the equally violent world of supposedly-civilized humans.
I give it 4 stars.
